Bill takes a Tug & Barge to Puerto Rico!!!!

Bill at the helm, heading to Puerto Rico.....
Picking up the loaded barge in Philly,

WOW, talk about talented, Bill and his crew on the tug, Michigan Service had to bring some #6 oil, (used at power plants) over to Puerto Rico.....what an adventure. At least they didn't have to go up and down the east coast or stay in NY, this was a little excitement.......
Bill also had to go on deck, to help a few of the guys who were trying to attach chapping gear to the line in the middle of the Atlantic, with 2.5 millon gallons of oil towing behind them, the seas were coming overboard so it was very slippery......Bill said "it actually was pretty hilarious.....(yours truly is the one with the bow legs)
In the pics, you'll see him steering the tug and looking forward as he pushes the barge into port.....Enjoy

WEEKEND of WONDERS!!!

Nick, Carol, Tom & Gerry..... (this was the joke of the week) Relaxing after along day at the links.....John, Annette & Me.. Kurt at Oscars!!!
My neighbors, Kurt & Annette, in building 9 came down on Thursday from NY with some of their engineers friends and co-workers, along with wives and friends. None of the women play golf so the guys invited me to play along. OH boy, talk about how to make friends or enemies, NO, they were great to play with.
I shot my lowest score yet on Norman, as Tom would say, another first, or this winter for that matter, 83 - 40 on the front, 43 on the back- it was amazing - and Bill is on his way to Puerto Rico so I can't even call to let him know.
This was the most golf I think I have played, 18 holes on Friday, Sat. Sun. and Monday 36 holes, yikes, and I just kept getting better.....it was amazing.....when you play with men you tend to be alot more relaxed, no bitching, pressure, complaining or talking.....they all just drink and have a great time....they actually told me they enjoyed watching someone play some good golf, a few of them really had a tough time, there is alot of sand down here, and some really only golf once or twice a year, we sure had some great laughs...
Annette and Kurt invited me out each night with them all.....we tried alot of different restaurants.....and drinks.....
Needless to say, I will miss them all very much but am looking forward to Bill coming home so I can play some golf with him and get Spirit ready for the trek up North.....I miss my boat.....Enjoy some of the pics.

BIG EAST CHAMPS!!

Well, I rushed up North only to turn around and head to Hartford with Carol D to watch UCONN win the Big East Championship for the 15th time. It was great seeing the team again and we enjoyed the game.
The girls finally looked prepared to take their first NCAA Championship since 2004......March to the Arch UCONN.....

South Bound Again!!!

Finially after a very busy week, and a wonderful wedding I am back home in MB......I miss being here and seeing everyone......but it was nice seeing family back North.
Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to use any computers to update all my happenings and my computer at home just doesn't work as fast and as efficient as Bill's laptop, which by the way, is on the way to Puerto Rico. He will be there for a week or two, bringing a barge with fuel from Shell, interesting, why does he get to go the islands.
Anyway, when he comes home I will have pics for all to see, including my mom's leg, which is just doing wonderful, I won't say how lucky she was, especially since I had to drag her ass to the ER. That is over with for now, until she decides to diaganose herself again, and believe me, she will.
Steve, keep track of her......
Sue's visit was great and I got to visit with Jim Quinn and his son Aidan......

Then Gen and I headed to Maryland for a day, then up North for Nikki and Eamon's wedding. The rehearsal dinner was great, it was a tailgate party. What an idea......

Relaxing in the hot tub!

Jimmy & Aidan tour SpiritAidan drives the golf cart!!!!
Aidan Quinn & Auntie Auntie.....

Relaxing in the hot tub...yes, I do have a suit on....

On Wednesday, March 4th Sue arrived........first things first, a ride around the resort in the golf cart, which I must say, she liked very much......
I always take you to the marina first to see Spirit, then to the club house for a drink, Bloody Mary's or Wine, one or the other, they make the best bloody's around.
Later we ventured over to Barefoot Landing to look and shop around and stopped at the Australian Grill for a few d'ors hoevers. (never spell that right)
After shopping, we headed back to the condo to sit and relax and then to the hot tub!!!!

Jim Quinn and his son Aidan came to visit on Saturday and stayed until Sunday. It was great seeing him again and his little man......we ate and went to the hot tub, and Aidan got to drive the golf cart.

All in all, we had a great time, yet relaxing...pics to follow.

Bill goes back to work.....

So tomorrow I bring Bill to the airport for 3 more weeks of work on the tug.....so sad. We had a very busy 3 weeks, with my nieces visiting, Carol D and her mom and then we headed to Florida. We started out walking every morning and then I just lost it.....couldn't get going, loved sleeping and just pooped out....bummer...BUT tomorrow is another day, the weight and inches I lost must be found again.....
We purchased our new truck and went shopping today to find a few little things I wanted for the condo....and boy did we find a great shop....
Tomorrow night Sue arrives at 11:00 pm and we will have great weather.....
So, until tomorrow, take care......

Larson, Marion Mae, Seairra

Riding in my car...

MARCH here we come!!!

Today is the first day March, yeah!!! Does it mean the golf season is almost here for the Northeast, NOPE, they're expecting another big one, us however, have just rain, yes, a very rainy weekend, but that is OK, I really need to clean house.......
Its been very busy for Bill and I this weekend, Friday morning early, we returned from Florida and visiting his mom, Friday night we played pitch down the residents hall AND we drank alot of wine. Cards is really fun with some of our friends, especially as they learn more and more.....Mom, gotta ask you about garbage points, Bill is giving me some shit......
On Saturday night we were invited to Jim and Jane Simpson's for dinner....what a meal, nice salad, rolls, rice, asparagus AND Salmon with a syrup and almond sauce to die for. I made Cherry Cheesecake for dessert.....it was a great time.
Today, we are invited for brunch at Marianne and Dave Gravina......Marianne is president of the POA (and is already hinting I run for office) and her husband Dave is bringing us later to look at a new development (he's involved in Real Estate) on the beach, just like Atlantis in Nassau.......so that fills up our weekend with hopes of still completing some housework.
And what a brunch we had: Strata and Cheese Grits - Mimosa's and Bloody Mary's - I made a great coffee cake - OH my GOD! It was delicious, with great friends, Barry & Barbara, Dave, Marianne, Bill and I. It was so enjoyable I can't even explain, Bill and I have met some great people, friends here.......Let me tell you, Barbara knows how to make the BEST grits in town....
I'll take some pics of the dreary weather just so you don't think we are in the sun ALL the TIME.....love to you all.
