DAY 2 - Frying Pan Shoals

Day 2 didn't go too well, we had to come back due to storms, we will try again tomorrow, but may have to head back into the ICW when we arrive in Beaufort, NC...

Getting ready to leave in the morning...... COME ON BRUINS - STEP IT UP!!!! WE WANT THIS...

Some big storm, these weather men, useless, lost 1/2 day and night. Bill and I keep waiting for the thunder and lightning, and nothing. But, we couldn't take a chance, alot of other boats pulled in too.

This marina is so cute, the tugs push barges which you can put vehicles on to get to the island. They tied Spirit at the end of the docks to keep us from going aground.....its very shallow around here.....
Today we head out to frying pan shoals off the coast of the Outer Banks...this will be interesting because along time ago, boats use to get washed ashore because it was so shallow there. Most due to the state of navigation and the lack of knowledge and accurate weather forecasting. But with all the up to date navigation tools, and I have Bill, we should be safe......this will allow us to sail all day and night getting us to Solomon's on Sunday, Happy Mothers Day everyone.......
Oh, and this morning, Bill made me take another sea sick pill just in case, I've been on land way to long......
Today is Megan's birthday, Happy Birthday Megan, we love you......
